Major Climb
Philippine Difficulty 6/9
Dauin-Valencia Trail
I have written this years after the hike so the indited parts are mostly from what I can remember about the hike. Unfortunately, I can no longer remember the expenses that we incurred unlike the other hikes but the story is still worth writing.
DAY 1
This was my first major hike was with Bukal Outdoor group in Mt. Talinis. The jump-off point was at Dauin where the group was transported in pairs by motorcycle.

Lake Nailig and campsite
More of the beautiful lake.
There are two areas where the group can camp, this is the second area a little far from the lake.
This is the other campsite, super near to the lake. This is where we stayed the night.
Day 2
We stayed the night near Lake Nailig and there was this kind of scary story. In the middle of the night, we heard some splashing near the lake as if someone's taking a bath (it's not allowed to take a bath there as it will pollute the waters). We talked to the rest of the group and someone did hear the same thing as we did but no one took a bath at the lake, it was raining that night and as guessed, no one is that brave to battle the cold. So the question, what could we have heard that night? |
Home beside the lake
